Langston Alum, Gap Band Drummer Roscoe Smith Dies
Roscoe Smith, one of the earliest members of the acclaimed funk/soul group the Gap Band, died earlier this month at the age of 67. The Tulsa, OK native was a 1967 graduate of Langston University, and helped create the group’s signature musical sound.
